BB Webb, Entrepreneur, Writer, Speaker and Talk Show Host
BB Webb is an entrepreneur, artist and businesswoman. With a background in theatre, she has an eye for what is original and creative. Over the years she has honed both her marketing and business skills to enable the birth of multiple creative projects and new businesses. In 1990, she wrote, produced, marketed, and performed in her own one-woman play, Through Ruby’s Eyes, which she toured nationwide.
In 2002 she saw an opportunity with what is now “Carl House,” to bring together her various skills by creating, a full service event facility which could utilize her theatre background, leadership, marketing and sales smarts. She completely renovated this 100-year old antebellum home, added a ballroom and third floor, and had the grounds professionally landscaped. Carl House has been named by Gwinnett Magazine as the “Best Place to Get Married” and the “Best Place to Have a Business Meeting or Retreat.” Carl House was named as ‘Best Reception Site’ by Atlantabridal.com and voted in the ‘best of’ category by The Knot magazine and was given the ‘Bride’s Choice Award’ by Wedding Wire.
In 2009 BB Webb was selected as one of five finalists for the coveted WE Excel Award by the National Association of Women Business Owners Atlanta Chapter. She recently appeared as a ‘Hard Knocks’ judge in the new CBS program, ‘The Next Tycoon’. In 2008 she was awarded by Catalyst Magazine as one of the top five entrepreneurs to watch in Atlanta. In September 2006 she was awarded the ‘Results Count’ award by Atlanta Women in Business during the ‘Crossing Bridges’ international businesswomen’s conference.
She is the former host of the successful cable access television program ‘Living Life with Style’ and co-contributor to a Jack Canfield, Jim Rohn book entitled, Rising to the Top. She is developing a book series called Tiny Tips of Wisdom for the Small Business Owner and writes a column for Southern Distinctions Magazine called, ‘Notes From the Highwire’.
BB’s live presentation ‘It’s Just Weather, Embracing Possibility Thinking or How to Find Your Twirl!’ had a successful premier in the summer of 2008; she has moved on to create other popular talks including, ‘Building a Business that Thrives Beyond You,’ sharing her lessons learned as an entrepreneur, as she puts it, ‘the ups, downs and in-betweens of conducting business’. As she leads her team and Carl House into what is fast becoming the premier event venue of the Southeast, popular for its spectacular wedding and team building corporate retreats, BB is eager to move forward with various media pursuits celebrating and championing the entrepreneur.
Watch out world, BB Webb is on a roll!

This blog is frankly for me to somewhere land the many crashing thoughts, ideas, musings in my head… things I see, absorb, process though, lessons learned, in business, through relating to others in this quixotically changing playground of life. Having someone bare witness to my experience (or yours), I feel somehow gives existence greater depth and color. We all need to be heard and seen, challenged, encouraged, and well, as you’ll soon learn through my world view, loved.

At first I thought Carl house was a restaurant. We have a Carl’s chop house here in Detroit. Interesting.
I thoroughly enjoyed my brief visit to your blog and Carl House (online). I look forward to visiting your blog again.
So happy to have you stop in Chance! I appreciate a poet’s point of view!
